SFLS member Gillian Bulmer has noted some corrections to the January 2007 newsletter, as detailed below:
On pg. 10 para. two line four is written  ..." This resulted in the foundation of cider orchards in Herefordshire ".
There are two points 1.  Rev John Beale Phd. wrote a book in the seventeenth century titled   " Herefordshire
Orchards, A pattern for all
England," pub.' 1657 J.B. '   Writing also at that time were  Hartlib,  Evelyn, Ist
Viscount Scudamore, etc.   Secondly the above quote  from the members paper should refer to the 'RE planting
of ORCHARDS IN Herefordshire', a certain cider maker of the time, (turn of the 19th - 20th century)  realised
the disappearance of the old orchards and consequent lack of raw material - and started propagating - as described.
